Job Title: Android App Developer
Full Job Description
We are looking for an Android developer to work with a talented group of developers and engineers building an android based video application. You will contribute to the design and build of our next generation of video applications in set-to-boxes and remote devices targeting the residential and lodging markets in the U.S.
- Design and development of advanced applications for the Android platform
- Unit-testing code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Work with outside data sources and APIs
- Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
- Continuous integration
Qualifications:
- BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent practical experience
- Proven working experience in Android app development
- Android TV and Leanback experience helpful
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements and have an in depth understanding of Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines
- Have published at least one original Android app
- Experience with Android SDK
- Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON
- Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
- Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
- Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
- Ability to work with a team of Android engineers and tackle independent projects
Pay: Salaried – Based upon experience
